“Selling” – it’s a horrible word, it scares people, the mere thought of having to sell something will stop many artists in their tracks with the mentally debilitating disease called “Broke Artist Syndrome”.
“Broke Artist Syndrome” can cause you to hide your originals away or have so little faith in your work and your abilities that you give paintings away or sell them for less than the cost of materials.
But don’t panic – you can be cured! You don’t need to behave like a used car salesman to sell yourself or your work. We can show you a few simple things that can get you started but not on the site here, they are our little secret that we only pass on when you become part of the Art House family!

Our background is in wedding and portrait photography. We’ve spent several decades selling images to clients, finding out what they think they want, what they think they need and coming up with the ideal combination of keeping them happy and keeping our business in profit. That’s right, when you are in business, even as an artist, you are entitled to make a profit!
So when we offer our advice to you we are selling you on the ideas and techniques to use so you can sell your reproductions. When you sell you reproductions, we get to print them for you and we make a profit doing so. Guess what – if you do what we suggest, you will make a profit too selling your reproductions. So it’s win-win!
We love getting together with artists and coming up with ideas to help you sell your work but please be aware, you’ll need to do some work – they don’t just fly out the door on their own.
We do however offer a free listing on our website – www.artreproductions.com.au – where you can make your images available for sale. We charge you a small commission plus the printing cost when a sale is made and you get to keep the rest. Contact us if you’d like more details.
